Thurgood Marshall

Thurgood Marshall was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1908.
He attended Howard University Law School. After graduating
from college he went to work for the NAACP.
He also practiced as a lawyer. His most famous
victory was in 1954, Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas.
This historic decision overturned segregation in the Topeka schools.
He was appointed to the Supreme Court and served there
until he retired in 1991. He died two years later.
