Fifth Amendment

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation.

This amendment means people can't come and take you and hold you for a crime until they have gathered enough information to hold a trial. And if they are found not guilty they can't hold another trial even if other information is found.

My stamp shows a picture of the judge trying to get the defendent to come back after the verdict not guilty. But the trial was over when they found more evidence. So he can't be tried again.

The fifth amendment says a person found not guilty of a crime cannot be tried again for the same crime. The fifth admendment says that no person shall be charged or be questioned again for the same crime that he or she was found not guilty.

My picture shows the defendent and the prosecuter in the Federal Court of New York City with the Bible on the table by the door next to the guard. The stamp also has the signature of I.J Hudsion from the news cast of channel 4 news anchor.
