S is for SWAN
By Nyemale
A swan is a large water bird that lives in water and
on land. The name of the young swan is a cygnet.
The swan uses it's long neck to feed on underwater
plants and grasses along the shore. The mute swan
is the most common northern species. It is native to
northern Europe and Asia. Swans are also found in parks
and zoos throughout the world.
My Beanie Baby is Gracie the Swan. She was born on
June 17, 1996. Gracie is a white swan with an orange
beak.
