I was a professor at the University of Maryland, in the
Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, from 1968 to 1999, where I
taught graduate and undergraduate courses and ran a research
program in analytical chemistry. I currently have Professor
Emeritus status. In retirement, my wife
Mary and I have enjoyed extensive international travel
and ornamental landscape architecture and shade gardening.
We spend the winters in
Florida, where both of our families had made their homes.
