Paul Robeson graduated with honors from Rutgers
University. He was selected as an All-American
football player. His acting career started
in 1921 at the Harlem YMCA. Paul was in the
play Emperor Jone about a year later. Paul
was known for his singing and acting. Paul
was a singer, actor, scholar, lawyer,
humanitarian, and an athlete. He could
speak several languages. There were not
very many things that Paul could not do.
In the year 1963 Paul returned from Europe
after being there for five years. As Paul
walked on stage the audience rose to it's
feet with applause saying welcome home.
