They are a group of popular words which are orally transmited from generation to generation and they are used to replace words from the Spanish language.

Some sayings are

"Estar al aguaite": Be alert or paying attention.

"Irse a la coche guagua": Take advantage of the work of others.

"Pagar el pato": To be accused for something you have not done.

"Quedar como chaleco de mono": To come out badly in front of others.

"Estar con la caña mala": Feel bad after spending the night having a good time without sleeping.

"Parar la chala": Die.

"Más apretado que mano de guagua": To be miserly
