I is for INCHWORM
By Justin
Polychaete worms, the largest segmented worms, live along the
shore. Many of these worms have tentacles on their head. The
parapodia are used in crawling. They
have many setae that help the worms grip the surface on
which they are moving. They live among algae or burrow in mud
or sand. Some live in tubes attached to the sea. A worm makes
its tubes from sand or from material secreted by it's body.
My Beanie Baby is Inch the Worm. He was born on
September 3, 1995. He is multi-colored green, red, purple,
orange and yellow. He is low to the ground.
