- Sun Workshop 5.0 installed on Solaris 7 platforms. This provides
an up to date set of compilers for this platform including 64-bit
support.

- Glue dialup machines have been upgraded to new hardware running
Solaris 7.
Users may notice
that the password prompt now reads 'Password for <username>:'
instead of just 'Password:'.

- WAM RAC machines have been upgraded to new hardware running
Solaris 7.
Users may notice
that the password prompt now reads 'Password for <username>:'
instead of just 'Password:'.
This is due to our switching to a new, supported, login code base.
The WAM Lab machines and Glue dialup machines will be upgraded
shortly.

- xlockmore version 4.15 installed. This version was installed to
fix some bugs in the previous version.
2/8/00
- Insure++ version 5.1 installed on all Glue platforms.
Insure++ is a source code analysis tool that automatically detects
large classes of programming and run-time errors, including
algorithmic anomalies, bugs, and deficiencies.

- gcc version 2.95.2 installed on Glue Alphas. This version gets
rid of the 'emulated instruction' warning that some people were
seeing.
1/10/00
- Xterm version 122 installed. This version fixes several bugs in
the previous version and now provides color support.
- tcsh-6.07.09 installed on Glue Alphas. This brings the Alphas
up to date with the rest of the platforms.
- The string displayed by tcsh when it prompts for command
corrections has been fixed to show 'Correct? > cmd [y/n/e/a]'.
The 'a'bort option was missing previously.

- Pine 4.21 installed on all Glue platforms. This version fixes a
bug in version 4.20.
1/4/00
- Pine 4.20 installed on all Glue platforms. To access the old
version type 'pine-4.10'.
1/3/00
- Netscape Communicator 4.7 is now the default version of Netscape.
To access the previous version, 4.08, type 'netscape-old'.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5 is now available
on Solaris 2.6. Type 'iexplorer' to run it.
